FEATURED WINE LIST (updated April 2010)
Blanc Pescador Brand new to St. Louis and Modesto’s wine list is the Blanc Pescador, a Petillant dry white. This clean, crisp, acidic white wine has a fruity, citrus aroma and displays balanced, clean flavors with a dry finish. Perfect to pair with all types of seafood and shellfish. - By the Glass

RivaRey 2006 The RivaRey Tempranillo is another new addition to our list. This Rioja reveals fruit flavors of raspberry, plum and roasted figs while finishing with just a little spice and subtle oak. RivaRey is a great value and easy to pair with a wide variety of tapas. - By the Bottle

Higueruela Cosecha 2008 The Higueruela is from the little-knownwine producing region of Almansa. This red displays aromas of cherry and pomegranate withunderlying tones of lavendar, rosemary and thyme. Silky smooth and lightly tannic, the Higueruela is everything a Spanish red should be.

Mas Doix Salanques 2005 (90 points – Tanzer, 93 points Robert Parker) The 2005 Salanques is a blend of Garnacha, Cariñena, Syrah, Merlot and Cavernet Sauvignon tha is aged in French oak for 14 months. Its purple hue coates the glass with a lush nose of cedar, smoke, blueberry, dark cherry and slate while maintaining light, balanced tannins and acids. A perfect example of what Priorat has to off when done well. - By the Bottle

PRIORAT y MONTSANT
Spain’s greatest reds may some day be made in these regions where the craggy soil of the mountains is home to steep terraced vineyards. Very old vine Garnacha and Carinena combine with newer plantings of Merlot, Cab, and Syrah to make riveting wines with huge fruit and subtle spice.

RIOJA
The most highly regarded region in Spain. Rioja, made principally from Tempranillo, is a very complex wine with the texture and complexity of Bordeaux but with a dustiness and earthy character all its own. Traditionally served with lamb, this style of wine pairs well with any red meat.
